Abstract

DI PRINZIO, C.L  and  NASELLO, O.B. Monte Carlo Simulation of Grain Growth in 3D applied to samples of West Antarctic Ice Sheets (WAIS) Project. An. AFA [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.4, pp.177-180. ISSN 0327-358X.

In this paper, 3D simulations of grain growth are presented in polycrystalline samples with particles using the Monte Carlo method. The results are applied to samples obtained from polar ice 'WAIS Project' and demonstrate a significant influence of the bubbles on the average grain size for depths between 100 meters and 500 meters.
