Abstract

OTERO, L. A et al. Aerosol optical thicknes measurements in patagonia argentina with AERONET sunpothometer network. An. AFA [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.4, pp.186-189. ISSN 0327-358X.

Since 2012 four air monitoring stations were installed in the framework of a special project of the Ministry of Defense to detect suspended aerosols, mainly from volcanic ash and Patagonian dust. These stations have among their instruments CIMEL sunphotometers which are integrated to the AERONET-NASA global network. This paper shows a statistical analysis of AERONET data from CEILAP-Bariloche, CEILAP-Commodoro, CEILAP-Neuquén, CEILAP-RG, the new stations installed by the project, and Trelew station, previously installed in 2005; to determine the aerosol type that characterizes the Patagonian region, its behavior and variability.

Keywords : Aerosol; Sunphotometer; AERONET.
