Abstract

PACHECO, Julieta Fernanda. The Neighborhood as a Realm of Activist Socialization. Forms of Ethical Commitment and Articulation of Engagements in the Politicization of Youth. Cuad. antropol. soc. [online]. 2023, n.58, pp.161-177.  Epub Nov 01, 2023. ISSN 1850-275X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/cas.i58.13247.

This article reflects on the processes of youth politicization, drawing insights from ethnographic research that examines the practices, discourses, and relational dynamics influencing the organizational experience of a group of young people belonging to the Frente de Estudiantes Secundarios de La Cámpora during Cristina Kirchner's second presidential term. Driven by the inquiry into how a political subject is constructed, the paper addresses a series of initiatives, debates, and formulations that animated the activism of these young individuals in a Buenos Aires slum. The objective is to reflect on the meanings, values, and notions that specifically shaped their political formation as activists.

Keywords : Politicization of youth; territory; political formation; activist commitments; ethical-political subjects.
