In this paper, the processes of individualization and reflexivity in relation to the social and economics limits between the private and public spheres are analyzed, and specifi cally the emerging dilemmas arising between maternity and labor development in contemporary societies. The transformations in women's private spheres in working mothers of medium socioeconomic level and the implications for family relations are examined. The objective of the paper is to analyze the structural components that influence the experiences and meanings that working mothers attribute to work, maternity and family
