Archaeological fieldwork of the Paraná alluvial plain on the border of Corrientes province, Argentina, was initiated in 2008 using a full-coverage survey strategy. Areas with abundant archaeological materials were identified. In the present paper the results of the analysis of surface and subsurface ceramic materials recovered in different parts of one identified area, the Los Bananos site, are presented. Ceramic materials recovered from the site were characterized and the area with the highest density of archaeological materials was identified.
