Abstract
PAL, Nélida. Estrategias de uso de instrumentos líticos en la cuenca superior del arroyo Tapalqué durante el Holoceno tardío (provincia de Buenos Aires). Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2015, vol.16, n.1, pp.53-68. ISSN 1850-373X.
The goal of this paper is to present the analysis of consumption practices of lithic tools among hunter-gatherer groups in order to contribute to the study of the strategies and context of use of these artifacts. The groups studied inhabited the upper Basin of the Tapalqué Creek (province of Buenos Aires) during the Late Holocene. To accomplish this objective, the identification of use-wear traces on lithic materials (both retouched and not retouched) recovered from different contexts in the micro-region under study were carried out. The results obtained show that technology as a social practice allowed gatherers hunter-gatherer populations to transform natural resources in order to produce material goods necessary in their different spheres of behavior.
