The results obtained from the analysis of quartzite lithic materials of different colors from the Escuela Agropecuaria site, General La Madrid district, northwest of the Buenos Aires Interserrana area, are presented. The primary and secondary outcrops of this raw material are located in different sectors of Tandilia, Ventania, the Interserrana area, and the Atlantic coast. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the choice of different colored quartzites at a site in the Salado river basin, based on the reconstruction of operational chains. Similar production objectives are observed, which mainly include the manufacture of composite tools and scrapers. There are both similarities and differences in the processing of the rocks. Similarities include a predominance of unipolar and, secondarily, bipolar knapping in all colors. In relation to differences, the majority of rocks (whitish, yellow and pink) entered the site in the form of cores, while the minority (coral, violet, brown and speckled) did so in the form of preforms and/or instruments.
