Abstract
GIANNOTTI, Sebastián; MANSEGOSA, Daniela; MARCHIORI, Julián and FERNANDEZ AISA, Camila. Desarrollo de estándares metodológicos regionales para la investigación antropológica forense: primera colección osteológica documentada contemporánea del Centro-Oeste del país (Mendoza, Argentina). Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2022, vol.23, suppl.1, pp.81-94. ISSN 1850-373X. http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.37176/iea.23.especial1.2022.730.
The field of Argentine forensic anthropology grew qualitatively and quantitatively in different jurisdictions of the country during the last decade, driven by recently formed teams that find contemporary documented osteological collections as a key tool for their investigations. The Mendocino Archeology and Forensic Anthropology Team (EMAAF), composed by teachers-researchers and students of the Bachelor of Archeology (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UNCuyo), provides expert services for the Public Prosecutor's Office since 2018. In the year of 2019, it was decided to create the first collection in the central-west of the country in order to validate and/or develop regional methodological standards aimed at improving the identification processes of skeletonized or partially skeletonized NN corpses in the framework of judicial investigations. The objective of this work is to synthesize the regional problems that underlie its formation, while describing the technical-methodological process used, characteristics and composition of the collection, and lines of analysis in progress. The articulating role of research, development and linkage (R+D+L) projects between the academic-scientific field and the judicial system to strengthen and improve expert services, as well as its usefulness for the training of human resources.
