This paper presents the results obtained from the analysis of three rock art sites from Aldea Beleiro, southwest Chubut: Casa de Piedra de Roselló, Cueva Alta del Portezuelo, and Pedrero de Jara. The documentation and analysis of the visual properties of the evidence, which is highly weathered due to different processes that affect conservation, was carried out using a methodology that complements field survey with thorough digital image processing. Although this article emphasizes issues related to the visual dimension, the results obtained allow the first technological and typological approaches to be made and the development of lines of enquiry related to different scales and problems in rock art research. It is concluded that making this technology was of great importance to the activities carried out by of the Holocene inhabitants of the area. Finally, we highlight the need for this type of study in an area with scarce research background on this material and the relevance of our findings for discussions at broader scales is preliminarily discussed.
