Abstract
LLANOS, Viviana Carolina; OTERO, Maria Rita and BANKS LEITE, Luci. Argumentación matemática en los libros de texto de la enseñanza media. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2007, vol.2, n.2, pp.39-53. ISSN 1850-6666.
This investigation studies some problems arising around the mathematical argumentation used by text books in the secondary school. One hundred and thirty seven (N = 137) textbooks have been analyzed using an inductive categorization referring at diverse argumentation aspects like: traditions, argumentation beginnings, argumentation degrees, relationships between the external images and the argumentation. The changes of mathematical argumentation and its modifications in the texts during the time and their didactic implications are analyzed and are discussed. In addition, it is analyzing like the educative level of texts has influenced its argumentation style and how over certain mathematical properties the argumentations was made. The constructed categories are described and are discussed. Some first results that would be interesting for mathematical education are discussing here.
