Abstract
MARINELI, Fábio and LOPES DE ALMEIDA PACCA, Jesuína. Students' difficulties in a didactic laboratory: an interpretation based on conceptualizations about the reality. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2014, vol.9, n.2, pp.13-27. ISSN 1850-6666.
We present in this paper an interpretation of the difficulties that are met by students acting in a Physics didactic laboratory. The understanding of typical laboratory class concepts such as measurement, uncertainty, fluctuation etc., is extracted from reports of experiments made by them. The text content analysis led to a classification of ideas that represent the subjects' understanding about the content that was dealt with at the laboratory. We have referred to the ideas of authors that phenomenologically describe the everyday life reality and the reality of other fields, to interpret these results. Among other things, these authors say that everyday life reality is different from scientific theorizing reality. From this point of view, we consider that the difficulties expressed by students about experimental activities could have a strong component of this everyday life reality, which is transposed to the scientific field.
