Abstract

SANTOS JUNIOR, Valdir Bezerra dos  and  DIAS, Marlene Alves. ANALYSIS OF THE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP OF STUDENTS IN A COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT COURSE IN RELATION TO THE DOMAIN OF FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2022, vol.17, n.1, pp.1-12. ISSN 1850-6666.  http://dx.doi.org/10.54343/reiec.v17i1.296.

The objective of the research was to identify the personal relationship of students from a practical course in Commercial Management Technology headed by Financial Mathematics. We observed the pedagogical practices to which students were submitted in their school life. We base our work on the Anthropological Theory of Didactics (ATD), privileging the notions of personal relationship, praxeology, monumentalization of knowledge, raison d'être and didactical organizations such as Study and Research Activity (SRA) and Study and Research Path (SRP). The nature of the research is qualitative, and this extract is based on data collected through a questionnaire. Its purpose is to verify whether Financial Mathematics developed in Basic Education allows students in a Business Management course to understand the new contents needed for them to make appropriate choices for their future profession. The analysis showed that there are gaps in student education in relation to the domain of Financial Mathematics which hinder the professional development of these students. The difficulties arise both from the lack of knowledge in Financial Mathematics and from its approach when considering real situations in the professional field, as these require the articulation of knowledge of Financial Mathematics with specific knowledge, which are far from the students’ daily experiences.

Keywords : Financial Mathematics; Anthropological Theory of the Didactic; Commercial Management Technology.
