Abstract

KRUGER, Eliane Weiss. Evaluation of learning focus on the science teaching curriculum. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2022, vol.17, n.1, pp.50-65. ISSN 1850-6666.  http://dx.doi.org/10.54343/reiec.v17i1.301.

Discussing assessment in teaching is part of a process that highlights the importance of the curriculum being aligned with planning that contemplates student-focused learning. Therefore, we aim to understand how learning assessment perspectives are presented in the works of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (Anped), considering possible contributions, limits and/or challenges in the context of Science Teaching (ST). Thus, for this qualitative approach research, we selected the works published from the 39th National Meeting, whose theme was: "Public Education and Research: attacks, struggles and resistance", a national event held by Anped, which takes place in the five regions of Brazil (South, Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and North) to understand how evaluation perspectives are presented in ST based on the evaluative perspectives of Uhmann (2015), namely: classificatory evaluation of reproduction and emergent evaluation of recreation. Therefore, of the 403 works, there were 81, which were grouped into two categories: 1) Focus of the works observed at Anped (organized in groups: external evaluation, institutional evaluation, others (evaluation of documents, books…) and learning evaluation) and 2) Perspectives of learning evaluation. In this, came the categorical analysis, in which the 41 works (from the subcategory “learning assessment”) brought an understanding of the perspectives in ST, showing that we still need to advance in the discussion regarding the assessment of learning in the process, unlike a strategy that points a result, such as in a qualifying evaluation of reproduction. Furthermore, we realize the need to expand evaluative strategies to improve the learning assessment process, moving towards the emerging assessment of recreation, and in this research, we emphasize the importance of the curriculum highlighting the importance of assessment in the teaching process in the school context.
