Abstract
ESCOBAR, Rosario and BUTELER, Laura. Intuitive knowledge and videogames: the power of Portal in Physics learning. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2022, vol.17, n.2, pp.59-72. ISSN 1850-6666. http://dx.doi.org/10.54343/reiec.v17i2.330.
Over the past twenty years there’s been developed a lot of research in the area of digital games as a resource to Physics learning. However, well theoretical framed research in this area is still scarce. This work deploys the analysis of first year engineering students interviews soon after they played Portal. The data analysis through the knowledge in pieces theory allows to describe the intuitive knowledge expressed by students when trying to tell the experience with the game. The present report aims to provide evidence concerning the relation between Physics learning and the use of videogames.
