Abstract

HERRERA, Alexander; RODRIGUEZ, Darío  and  GARCIA-MARTINEZ, Ramón. Topologías de Interacción para Espacios Virtuales de Trabajo Colaborativo. Rev. iberoam. tecnol. educ. educ. tecnol. [online]. 2014, n.14, pp.74-86. ISSN 1851-0086.

In the context of collaborative work systems mediated by technology, a group can be seen as a set of individuals that interact directly or through shared artifacts and who perceive themselves as a group. In large part, these perceptions are achieved through awareness mechanisms. Several authors have tried to formalize various concepts related to awareness by proposing taxonomies, theories or frameworks. Several of these formalisms imply that all participants need information of awareness about other members, all the time, yet we know that some participants need more awareness than others depending on their roles and group structure which is participating. This paper proposes topologies group interactions for virtual collaborative workspaces and associated with these roles.

Keywords : Awareness; Virtual spaces for collaborative work; CSCW; Roles; Topologies.
