At the beginning of the current year, an event occurred that caused a significant series of modifications in those aspects related to the teaching of classes -we are referring to the pandemic caused by COVID-19- a situation that almost instantaneously altered any projection related to the normal development of the academic calendar. In accordance with the situation described, the Universidad Nacional de La Matanza (UNLaM) decided to continue with its academic activities in the non-face-to-face mode, using as technological support the Materias Interactivas en Línea (MIeL) platform -a virtual teaching-learning environment fully developed by university teachers- with the complement of the MS-TEAMS tool for the delivery of classes in videoconference mode. We refer to the problems, needs, uncertainties, tensions and opportunities that were generated during the course of this experience in this article.
