Abstract

CAHIZA, Pablo; GARCIA LLORCA, Jorge; INIESTA, M. Lourdes  and  GARATE, Enrique. EL CHAÑARCITO: ARCHITECTURE, MATERIALITY AND CONSUMPTION OF A VILLAGE RESIDENTIAL AREA OF THE VELASCO HILLS, LA RIOJA (C. 600 TO 800 AD). Comechingonia [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.1, pp.1-10. ISSN 1851-0027.

We analyze public and domestic areas of social interaction in Chañarcito village community of (600-800 AD), eastern foothill of the Sierra de Velasco (Castro Barros, La Rioja). The analysis of the architecture of the residential space, ceramic and bone sets, support the identification of the sectors where the social practices of greater or less visibility are realized. For this, we identify differentiated ceramic and faunistic technologies consumption distributions. We highlight areas of relative abundance of fine series ceramics and Camelidae consumption trends with diversity and construction in a structure defined as a platform and in a hierarchical space (SI R9).

Keywords : community, social interaction, ceramic technology, archaeofaunal analysis.
