Abstract

ROMERO, Victoria Celeste. LA CATEGORÍA DEL ARTE EN EL ANTIGUO EGIPTO: UNA REFLEXIÓN DESDE EL GIRO ONTOLÓGICO. Comechingonia [online]. 2023, vol.27, n.3, pp.6-6. ISSN 1851-0027.

This paper exposes certain discussions about the category of "art" and its use for the study of artistic objects from ancient Egypt. The review of these concepts a¡¡ows us to rethink the notions about the ¡inks between peop¡e, objects and vita¡ forces that are interwoven in Egyptian art and, for this, we present some criticisms of Western and modern views on the subject. We believe that the contributions of the ontological turn enable reflection on the understanding of the images produced by Egyptian cu¡ture, as we¡¡ as the crossing of the proposals formulated in the disciplinary fields of anthropology and archaeology. Finally, we propose an ana¡ysis of the artistic motif of the offering tab¡es in Amarna, as a resu¡t of the dia¡ogue between the authors presented.

Keywords : Ancient Egypt Art; Ontological Turn Modernity.
