Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the preliminary results of a study was made during 2004 about the existence of the consume of psychoactive substances among schoolchildren between 10 and 12 years old from Buenos Aires suburbs. This paper continues and extends an exploratory study was made during 2002-2003 which registered an occasional consumes of psychoactive substances among children between 10 and 12 years old. Methodology: Sample: children between 10 and 12 years old, which attend to a public school situated in south Buenos Aires suburbs. n= 201; boys n= 93; girls n= 108. Tools: CORIN, Source: CONICET. Sociodemographic data protocol. Results y Conclusions: During the year of the administration of the instrument it is registered an occasional consume of psychoactive substances among the children. Family context of the children who have consumed psychoactive substances, have similar characteristics.
