Abstract
PERELMAN, Flora Beatríz et al. The Tension Between Succeeding And Understanding In Searching Information On The Internet. Anu. investig. [online]. 2008, vol.15, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-1686.
The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the processes of knowledge appropriation in searching information on the internet in two didactic situations of study designed in the research. The population consisted of 22 students of 6th grade and 25 of 5th grade of Elementary School. Data was collected through classroom observations and clinical-critical interviews. Results show that the analysis of the successes and failures in the processes of searching took the students of 6th graders to understand that the search-engine is an instrument that does not discern among different study objects; which generated the necessity to focus the search. The construction of the key words in the classroom previous to their use allowed the students of 5º grade to deepen in the object to discipline they were studying. The passage of having success or failure to understanding the reasons of such promotes a way of transformation of the knowledge.
