Abstract

BANCALARI, Hebe; CALCAGNO, Ana María  and  PEREZ FERRETTI, Liliana. Recovered Enterprises: Women's Voices - Gender Perspectives. Anu. investig. [online]. 2008, vol.15, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-1686.

In this article we present an approximation to the role of women in recovered enterprises. We inquire about the diverse forms of female participation, not only as an active character in the process of recovery of the work source but while providing support for their male counterparts. We tried to identify specific gender characteristics in the experience of work recovery throughout the struggle. It is important to consider that proportionally the number of men in recovered enterprises is much larger than the number of women. Our research is based on interviews carried out with women and men about women's participation in the researched enterprises, from 2003 to the present.

Keywords : Recovered enterprises; Gender; Gender stereotypes; Sexual division of work; Public and domestic environment.
