Abstract

SOPRANSI, María Belén; ZALDUA, Graciela  and  LONGO, Roxana. Self-management, public policies and social movements. Anu. investig. [online]. 2011, vol.18, pp.301-309. ISSN 1851-1686.

History of self-management constitutes a field of disputes on sense and appropriation of autonomous practices in different spaces and social-historical moments. In Argentina, self-management acquires central importance in social movements, especially in collective processes of recovered factories, unemployed workers movements, cooperatives of housing construction, and assemblies of environmental protection, between others. The objectives are: 1- to check critically auto-management concept and current conceptualizations in our country, 2- to characterize Plan of Local Development and Social Economy "Hands to the work" (PLDySE), 3- to study case of Unión de Trabajadores Desocupados (UTD) and its development of collective self-management projects related to social plan. With a qualitative methodology and an intentional sampling, we consider perspectives of UTD and technical personnel of PLDySE. We used different sources and instruments: documents, interviews, participant observation and productions in workshops.

Keywords : Self-management; Social movements; Public policies; Work.
