Abstract

ALOMO, Martín  and  LOMBARDI, Gabriel. Buridan in the clinic: parlêtre's choices. Anu. investig. [online]. 2011, vol.18, pp.25-33. ISSN 1851-1686.

From one of the most important philosophical precedents of the notion of choice, the objection raised to the free will by the libertas indifferentiae, we performed a reading of some problematic important points of the analytical clinic with which we ind us in our investigation. How to define an elective moment? How to place it in the clinical experience? What is chosen? What is not chosen? We try to answer these questions with an analysis of the paradox of Buridan and the reading of a case of Pearl King and Lacan's comments about the case. This work allows us to set distinctions of clinical relevancy about the elective moments in the course of the analysis.

Keywords : Lacan; Buridan; Libertas indifferentiae; Klein's bottle; Elective moments.
