Abstract

ACUNA-MATAYOSHI, Cynthia. Rhythm and the death instinct. Anu. investig. [online]. 2012, vol.19, n.2, pp.47-51. ISSN 1851-1686.

This paper addresses the problem of rhythm, rhythm and its relation to the death instinct. Given the complexity of the concept in Freud, the starting point of this approach is the cinema. I will situate the place of rhythm in the Japanese ilm Shara, in which, after a traumatic event (a missing child), some of mourning is made by the writing. And rhythm is the element that accounts for this development, which is never inal, that does not mean the disappearance of the trauma but allows a family to get a place to the pleasure and history. Since this is an introductory essay -which is part of a wider investigation- the ideas developed here are even partial answers to problems that still remain open. Questions about how to think the constitution of the body, what elements are edges to corporeality, are part of the background and context of this work I consider in the beginning.

Keywords : Rhythm; Writing; Death instinct; Body.
