Studies have found that the Therapeutic Relationship (RT) is a strong predictor of psychotherapeutic treatments outcomes (Del Re et al., 2012; Hartmann et al., 2014), while observing that therapist characteristics positively affect RT. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate beliefs about the impact of RT on the treatments outcomes and therapist characteristics most relevant to enhance RT in a sample of 121 clinical psychologists from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The results show professionals consider a positive impacto of RT in treatment outcomes while identify different therapist characteristics to strengthen RT, such as interest in the clients problems and flexibility among others. Secondly, it is observed that the training and experience of psychologists is associated with the perception of greater relevance to share cultural characteristics with patients to strengthening RT. These results are consistent wi th other studies that have found that t raining and supervision of therapists promote features that strengthen RT and treatment outcomes (Orlinsky & Ronnestad, 2005; Zeeck et al., 2012).
