Abstract

PERELMAN, Flora B. et al. Shared reading of television news: hypothesis construction in 6 grade. Anu. investig. [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.1, pp.169-178. ISSN 1851-1686.

This research will explore children’s conceptualizations about news production from a relational constructivist framework. Acts of shared reading of television news are analyzed in the context of a focal group composed by 2 girls and 4 boys in 6th grade from disadvantaged social sector from a denominational school of Buenos Aires. The results show a microgenetic process in this interpretive community by converting media production into the object of analysis, propitiating dialectic between children´s hypotheses, interventions of researchers and news reading. The key to entering critical reading appears to be in those interventions which propose return to reading "the lines", to interrogate the materiality that assumes each of the news, and that in turn allow the deployment of multiple senses that children give to trademarks appearing there.
