Abstract

BARREYRO, J. Pablo; INJOQUE-RICLE, Irene; GONZALEZ, J. Martín  and  BURIN, Débora I.. Study of psychometric properties of classical working memory tasksforgroup administration. Anu. investig. [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.2, pp.283-288. ISSN 1851-1686.

Working Memory is a memory system involved in the storage and concurrent processing of information (Baddeley, 2010). Backward digit recall and letter-number subsequences are two traditional working memory tasks. The aim of the present study is to present psychometric properties of both tasks administered in groups. The tasks were administered to 114 university students. The reliability analysis showed an excellent internal consistency of both tasks, and a one factor model with an excellent it to the data was observed using a confirmatory factor analysis. These results indicated that backward digit recall and letter-number subsequences tasksare reliable and valid measures to assess working memory for group administration in a visual format.

Keywords : Working Memory; Backward digit recall; Letter-number Subsequences.
