Abstract

The incorporation of gender violence as a component of human rights, goes beyond the private sphere. It is related with civil society demand, in particular women´s movement, and a sector of professionals committed to health collective. The gender-based health perspective, challenges practices and representations crystallized that reproduce inequalities and requires review paradigms and sanitary practices. From a qualitative research approach, we realized a dialogical process with 26 participants - health professionals and community agents - that are addressing the issue from a variety of devices for the care and prevention of gender-based violence. Were implemented: in-depth interviews; groups interviews and participant observation. The traditional representations of gender, targeted social policies and fragmentation are critical knots of the devices. The practices of autonomy and sisterhood, and reflexivity are able to rights enforceability
