In this paper we present some peculiarities of the immigration process uruguayans lived in Argentina considering the statistical aspects and historical and economic factors in Argentina and Uruguay that formed the framework of the process. Also, we return to the issue from the perspective of a qualitative approach in the development of research in order to show the different manifestations channeled through collective identity projects. They went to support and promote links with the country of origin, with similar groups in other countries and the receiving society.
