Abstract

GAZZOTTI, Luciana. Ética profesional y antropología argentina: Reflexiones en diálogo. Avá [online]. 2016, n.28, pp.73-99. ISSN 1851-1694.

Considerations on professional ethics in anthropology arise from different circumstances or experiences, have different characteristics in relation to their historical, political and epistemological contexts, and are consolidated through various processes of institutionalization. This article aims to analyze the characteristics of the general ethical debate in anthropology, mainly in response to how it is presented in Argentina. In turn, we try to investigate contemporary thoughts and concerns about the ethics of various Argentinean anthropologists in order to recover this debate’s particularity and meet recurring problems that arise in various fields of the discipline. Our analysis of these notions is not completed, but aims to contribute to an initial systematic effort regarding the subject in this country.

Keywords : Professional Ethics; Fieldwork; Ethical Dilemmas; Professional Practice.
