Abstract

D´ANGELO, Ana. Tecnologías de autorregulación: apropiaciones psi de las técnicas zazen y vipassana de meditación. Avá [online]. 2018, n.32, pp.109-129. ISSN 1851-1694.

The objective of this work is to analyze the insertion of buddhist meditation techniques (such as vipassana and zazen) in the psi professional field. With such a purpose, it is based on participant observations in two workshops offered by a team of psychologists and psychiatrists in the city of Mar del Plata (Argentina) during 2015 and 2016. The analysis of the insertion of these techniques in cognitive-behavioral workshops indicates that they preserve their effectiveness and their character of self-government technologies (of emotional regulation and self-control) precisely dueto the irreimplantation in new chains of ritual interaction. In this new context, technologies therapeutic new purposes don´t necessarily implies a loss of their spiritual character in fact they are not mutually exclusionary.

Keywords : Meditation techniques; Stress; Emotional self-regulation; Ritual chains.
