Abstract
PEREYRA, Lucía and DANZIGER, Violeta. MUJERES EN ESPERA, ENTRE LA BUROCRACIA Y LA SALUD: UN ACERCAMIENTO ETNOGRÁFICO SOBRE LA EXPERIENCIA DE MUJERES PRIVADAS DE SU LIBERTAD AMBULATORIA EN TORNO A LA ATENCIÓN SANITARIA EN UNA UNIDAD PENITENCIARIA DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES. Avá [online]. 2020, n.36, pp.227-242. Epub Nov 24, 2020. ISSN 1851-1694.
This article aims to reflect on the experience of women deprived of liberty housed within a prison complex in Gran Buenos Aires, in relation to the health service. These women are located in an interstitial space between the Servicio Penitenciario Bonaerense, the justice system and the health system, where the lack of resources, overcrowding and bureaucracy determine the quality of the care they will receive. In this context, given the inevitable dependency to which they are subject, they develop different tactics to cope with their adverse conditions, mobilizing social resources and organizing solidary reciprocity circuits.
