This paper analyzes the technology engagement and transfer (VyTT) policies of the Bariloche Atomic Center (CAB) of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) since 2006, when the Nuclear Plan was reactivated. Based on the context and historical emergence of the VyTT area of the CNEA and the creation of a technology transfer office at the CAB, the characteristics of the activities promoted there, their hierarchical and functional interdependence, the internal regulatory framework and the characteristics of the main technology transfer unit, which manages the resources, are presented. The analysis of the information gathered allows us to deduce that the VyTT activities of the CAB responded to a horizontal model, with similar characteristics to those observed in universities and other scientific-technological organizations in Argentina during the 1990s. Some differential characteristics allow inferring that this horizontal model coexisted with another one contained in a national sectorial technological planning, which was developed within the framework of the Nuclear Plan.
