Abstract

CARATTOLI, Mariela Cecilia et al. Entrepreneurship e instituciones: Revisión de la literatura y nuevas agendas de investigación. Cienc. docencia tecnol. [online]. 2023, n.67, pp.3-3. ISSN 1851-1716.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.33255/3467/1349.

Although, in recent years, the use of an institutional perspective in research on entrepreneurship has been considered one of the most promising lines of research, the relationship between entrepreneurship and institutions is still unclear. This article advances in a review of 108 articles published between 1973 and 2020 that bring together both approaches. Results show that the research is biased towards the analysis of the unidirectional link between entrepreneurship and institutions, with only few studies adopting a bidirectional or co-evolutionary approach. In addition, most of the studies analyze institutional variables at the macro level, and only few studies address meso or micro variables. New research agendas are proposed from the cross fertilization of both approaches.

Keywords : entrepreneurship; Institutional Theory; institutions; literature review.
