Abstract

CISNE, Rebecca  and  GASTAL, Susana. A New Glance on the Itinerary Tours: A Contribution from the Complexity Theory. Estud. perspect. tur. [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.6, pp.1449-1463. ISSN 1851-1732.

The routing process, so important into the tourist practices, has not been deep analyzed in by the scholars, what results in a low advancement on the conceptual discussion on this topic. Aiming to re-think the itinerary routes and the routing process', this paper proposes a literature review on the treatment given to this subject taking into account the historical presence of the Book Guides and travel reports as antecedents of Itinerary tours designed from the  modernity on. The methodology is based on the Complexity Paradigm as proposed by Edgar Morin, what allow us to consider the relation between tourism theories and practices, taking the routing among them due to the new behaviors of the travelers on the postmodern context.
