Abstract

Zygomycosis is a term that refers to infectious fungal agents Zygomyces class, which includes the orders Mucorales and Entomophthorales producing different clinical conditions. Mucormycosis is characterized by hiperacute vascular invasion and necrosis, very serious, that affects immunocompromised patients while entomoftormicosis usually is a chronic process in immunocompetent individuals of certain tropical and subtropical areas. It develops the theme and presents a case of mucormycosis.
