Abstract

TRAMA, IC; AREVALO, J; ALVARADO, ME  and  BALINA, GE. GRANULOMATOUS ROSACEA IN HIV PATIENT. A CASE REPORT. Rev. argent. dermatol. [online]. 2018, vol.99, n.3, pp.71-80.  Epub Sep 30, 2018. ISSN 1851-300X.

We present the case of a 28-year-old female patient, positive retrovirus, who consulted for a symptomatic facial dermatosis of more than two years of evolution, characterized by a well-defined bilateral malar erythema, with the presence of papules in some sectors, xerosis and telangiectasias, which respected nasolabial furrow and generated ardor. A skin biopsy was performed reporting superficial perivascular dermatitis with slightly granulomatous perifolliculitis, compatible with granulomatous rosacea.

Granulomatous rosacea is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis prevalent in patients with clear skin. The interest of the presentation consists in evidencing the association between the manifestations of frequent dermatosis with atypical presentation related to the immune status of the patient.

Keywords : rosacea; granulomatous; HIV.
