Abstract

CARMONA, MF et al. Cutaneous Plasmacytosis, case report. Rev. argent. dermatol. [online]. 2021, vol.102, n.2, pp.41-50. ISSN 1851-300X.

Cutaneous plasmacytosis is a rare disorder characterized by a benign proliferation of mature plasma cells presenting as multiple erythematous-violaceous lesions, usually associated with polyclonal hyperglobulinemia. We present the case of a 54-year-old patient with multiple tumor lesions located on the face; and also plaques located on the right hemithorax and left thigh, of erythematous-violaceous color, of two years of evolution. Peripheral blood showed polyclonal hyperglobulinemia. Histopathological study confirmed the diagnosis of cutaneous plasmacytosis, showing a diffuse dermal plasmacytic infiltrate, and immunohistochemical tests showed the expression of kappa and lambda light chains.

Keywords : cutaneous plasmacytosis; polyclonal hyperglobulinemia; plasma cells.
