Abstract

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis of the skin, characterized by the presence of erythema, telangiectasias, papules and pustules in the central facial region. Among its variants, the granulomatous form is a clinical picture rarely reported in childhood. A 9-year-old female patient is presented, who presents facial redness and cystic lesions of variable sizes, it was decided to perform a deep skin biopsy where it was observed in histological plate, with the H-E technique, at 40X; Superficial and deep perivascular severe inflammatory infiltrate, predominantly lymphoplasmacytic, polymorphonuclear leukocytes, and histiocytes, forming granulomas. Topical and systemic treatment was established with satisfactory resolution of the clinical picture, improving their quality of life.
