Abstract
ROMERO, Juan I. et al. Apparent macronutrients balance in rainfed and drip irrigated sugarcane in Tucumán-Argentina. Rev. ind. agric. Tucumán [online]. 2022, vol.99, n.1, pp.53-60. ISSN 1851-3018.
The objective of this work was to estimate the nutrient apparent balance of N, P, K, Ca and Mg of a typical sugarcane crop cycle (5 years) under rainfed and drip irrigated conditions located at Overa Pozo, Cruz Alta department, Tucumán, Argentina. The evaluated cultivar was LCP 85-384. A two treatments trial (rainfed and drip irrigated) was carried out in a completely randomized design with 5 replications. Fertilization during the whole cycle consisted in the addition of 97 kg/ha de P2 O5 and 4 additions of 90 kg N/ha (as plant cane was not fertilized). Green cane harvest was performed maintaining trash blanket on site. Nutrient harvest removal (kg*t-1) was determined from 1st to 4th ratoon. From these data, the apparent nutrient balance of the 5 year cycle was estimated for both conditions. Balances were negative for both treatments. Nutrient losses were higher at irrigated treatment. Balances resulted in:-90,-23,-1252,-49,-60 kg/ha y -14,- 11,-889,-28,-41kg/ha of N, P, K, Ca and Mg for irrigated and rainfed respectively. Harvest residues removal results in much greater nutrient losses.
