Abstract

It has become common to repeat the phrase made when talking about our education system, students of the XXI century, the nineteenth century schools and teachers of the twentieth century. Despite the creative wordplay, the analysis of preposition leads to a fatalism that does little to point solutions, after all, a century is a long time. As the study of the science of wood can remain relevant in the present century? How to transform the knowledge and skills accumulated largely financed by government resources, solutions to the problems of society and improve people's lives? This article discusses the reasons for the low attractiveness of careers related to the study of wood in the current context, and to identify immediate implementation of suggestions in university education, making the closest courses generation of young people who enter the universities.
