Abstract

POGGIESE, Diego. H. A. Murena's proyect: the infinite spiral. Rev. Pilquen [online]. 2006, n.8. ISSN 1851-3123.

After decades of being excluded from the debating field of the Argentine literature, the works written by Héctor Álvarez Murena have seemed to find better conditions for legibility in the last ten years. The immediate result of these changes may be seen in the new reprints of a great deal of his texts and the publishing of many studies, articles, essays and interventions which venture to think about a production which may at first sight seem impossible to classify. Irritating, complex, contradictory, slightly prophetic, supported by a complicated principle of "self-contradiction", his work is displayed as a bet which requires the perspective of a comprehensive project which goes beyond any attempt to sort it into periods, any genre classification and any ideological and political attachments and affiliations. This work aims at showing the importance of this consideration to the resolution of readings which do justice to the texts of a writer whose significance is starting to be timidly recognized.

Keywords : Murena; Argentine literature in the twentieth century; Essay.
