Abstract

FERRAS, Graciela. The "indianism", a controversial term about the Blasón de plata (1912) by Ricardo Rojas. Rev. Pilquen. secc. cienc. soc. [online]. 2012, n.15, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3123.

This report tries to expose the discussion that produced the appearence of the word indianism in the Ricardo Rojas book Blasón de Plata (1912) between the different intelectuals coming from the resulting extent of Social Sciences (José Ingenieros, Corolario Alberini, Rodolfo Rivarola) and the inner thoughts of the nationalists of the Centennial themselves as Manuel Gálvez. Although this discussion does not express clearly ideas related to the language, you may suggest that there is a discussion among different perceptions as regards the intention of the use of the word "indianism" which change into "languages" or "ways of saying" about the native, the national, the progressive or the reactionary. Manners and ways which not only show the different contexts that make sense to the word but create different meaning universes too.

Keywords : Indianism; Nation; Nationalism; Ricardo Rojas.
