Abstract

CASTILLO, Fernando Aníbal. Consecratory and venerableness: the "peronización" of public space in San Salvador de Jujuy (1951-1955). Rev. Pilquen. secc. cienc. soc. [online]. 2012, n.15, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3123.

Changes introduced by peronista administration produced -within a large set of transformations- reorganizations in conditions of production of discourses. As a result, antiperonista discourses were radically limited and peronista symbols got profusely widespread in public space. This paper aims to determine the characteristics of San Salvador de Jujuy city during peronista government and to define which ones were the foundations that made possible such transformations. It is hypothetically suggested that the change of public space was a phenomenon closely related to reorganization of public sphere; this restructuring supposed the constitution of an unequal exchange space.

Keywords : City; Jujuy; Public space; "Peronización".
