The purpose of this article is to expose general conclusions of research project "Impact of agri-food chains on economic development of Rio Negro Province" which belongs to Universidad Nacional del Comahue. The work explains theoretical and methodological frameworks, then marks significant facts of economic evolution and finally suggests a list of topics that could be included in a debate about development of Rio Negro.
