Abstract

BERDONDINI, Mariana. Democratización y contextos de discusión: lo litigioso de los derechos de comunicación y sexualidades en dos leyes candentes de la política argentina. Rev. Pilquen. secc. cienc. soc. [online]. 2016, vol.19, n.1, pp.42-54. ISSN 1851-3123.

This article analyze the senses of democratization in two contexts of discussion of recent argentine policy, linked with sexualities and communication rights, processed in the parliamentary arena trough two laws: Audiovisual Communication Services (2009) and Equality Marriage (2010). Conceptualized as "burning laws", considering the differences of both laws in their issues, actors and practices involved in the public problems, it compares plot cores that explain disputes. The claims of rights updated statutes and subjects of equality and freedom, questioning the relationship between State institutions, representation and citizenship. In both cases, from the public media space to the very personal, democratization connects individual and collectives dimensions to advocate for the universal and inclusion of diversities and pluralities. Here is the heart of the processes of citizenship, as well the challenges, tensions and open conflicts.

Keywords : Democratization; Sexualities; Communication; Disputes; Burning laws.
