Abstract

VALENZUELA, Sergio David. The Unicato& The law of slogans and indefinite re-election in the Province of Formosa. Rev. Pilquen. secc. cienc. soc. [online]. 2017, vol.20, n.3, pp.19-29. ISSN 1851-3123.

This research is an account of the implications of the voting system modifications in the Argentine Province of Formosa for the election of Governor and Deputy Governor positions, and their consequences on the provincial voting and political system. The federalism that characterizes the country drives the different voting districts to change from district to district. In the case of the Province of Formosa, this becomes more evident due to the adoption of the double simultaneous voting system, the variables involved, and the scope of the voting system throughout the recent history in the province, in the context of indefinite re-election.

Keywords : Re-election; Political System; Formosa; Executive Power; Double Simultaneous Voting.
