Abstract

CASSINI, Lorenzo; ZANOTTI, Gustavo García  and  SCHORR, Martín. Estrategias de financiarización en las producciones primarias de Argentina durante los gobiernos del kirchnerismo, 2003-2015. Ciclos hist. econ. soc. [online]. 2019, vol.30, n.53, pp.195-220. ISSN 1851-3735.

This work addresses the accumulation strategies deployed in the primary activities in Argentina in the years 2003-2015. The use of the economic surplus of these sectors is worked on by comparing their destiny to the increase of productive capacities and to capital flight, as well as the changes in the composition of assets. To this aim, case studies are addressed with accounting data of large companies in these sectors. The conclusions state that financialized accumulation strategies cause productive investment to be subordinated to logics that prioritize the preference for liquidity, as well as capital flight, and result in the phenomenon of investment reticence. Therefore, the role of these primary sectors as promoters of national economic development, as postulated from different spheres, is discussed.

Keywords : financialization; use of surplus; primary productions; Argentina.
