This article analyses the technological changes that transformed the Argentine agricultural sector in the last four decades. Technological changes occur both locally and internationally, drawing a link between them. It will be argued that these changes involved the replacement of a productive model based on a local package to a globally configured one. On this purpose, it will be emphasized that the application of the model at the national level required adaptations by local actors but was promoted and led by a group of multinational firms.
