Abstract

MUSACCHIO, Andrés. Characteristics of the current transformation process: digitalization, accumulation and development of productive forces in the post-neoliberalism?. Ciclos hist. econ. soc. [online]. 2022, vol.33, n.59, pp.41-50.  Epub Dec 01, 2022. ISSN 1851-3735.  http://dx.doi.org/5.

One of the most important issues for the heterodox economy is the periodization of capitalism. If the existence of stages is a less controversial element, how to characterize them is a much less standard issue, since it involves a deep methodological discussion: what are the central elements of a development model. The question becomes relevant in the current context, asking if some transitions towards a new model begin to be suggested from the crisis of neoliberalism. This paper suggests to analyze in an introductionary manner certain fields where these transformations appear most. Furthermore it pretends to reflect their impact on the world of work, the organization of production processes and the structure of international relations.

The focus is hold on the questions whether during this process there are appealing new conteracting tendencies to the fall of profit rates, their limit of draw apart and if there is a profundization or if they are just continuing with the conteracting tendencies of which the neoliberal model is built up on.

Ultimately -and this is our basic approach- the fundament of a development model consists in a set of specific ways in which surplus value is extracted, from which the process of capital accumulation is recomposed.

Keywords : transformation; counteracting influences; GAFA; postneoliberalism.
